• Shiatsu is a healing touch therapy which is based on the same principles as acupuncture but the practitioner uses hands instead of needles. It works at a physical, psychological, emotional and spiritual level and regular sessions help to prevent the build up of stress.

  • Energy flows through the body in a network of channels called meridians. For many reasons it may stop flowing freely and this produces symptoms. Treatment is focused on finding the root of the problem rather than prescribing for symptoms alone.

  • A shiatsu treatment is non invasive and the body is worked on fully clothed on a comfortable massage couch. Using gentle holding and stretching techniques, and applying pressure to specific points, energy is encouraged to flow allowing the body to return to a state of balance.

  • If you are feeling stuck and unable to move on in life a shiatsu session will provide a safe space to discuss practical lifestyle changes you can make, motivate you to make the changes and offer support on the journey. Breathing, relaxation and visualisation techniques may be included in a session.

  • Shiatsu relaxes mind and body, restores and balances energy, eases tension and stiffness, improves breathing, circulation and posture, reduces mental and emotional stress and uplifts the spirit.
